Crawlspace Drainage Systems
Common symptoms of crawlspace drainage issues include:
- Standing water, dampness or condensation
- Mud in your crawlspace
- The appearance of efflorescence
- Mold and rot
- Pest infestation
- Musty smells or odor
If you notice these signs, there’s a good chance there’s a moisture issue in your crawlspace.
Drainage System Installation
First; we dig an 8-to-12-inch trench around the perimeter. Then, we dig a hole for the sump pump basin. We place the sump pump in the lower end of your crawlspace. Next, we lay in a 4-inch corrugated pipe with a sock with gravel. We fill in gravel in the sump pump and over the perimeter drain. Finally, water is discharged away from your home with a 4-foot PVC line.
The sump pump we use is a Zoeller 1/3 horsepower, with an optional battery backup and a 3-year factory warranty. It does a great job of keeping your crawlspace protected from water.
Sump pump annual maintenance program
To ensure your sump pump runs efficiently, we offer an annual maintenance program that includes cleaning out the basin if necessary, ensuring proper functioning of the system, and assessment of the discharge line.
